April 2012 - Perkins Local
Perkins Local School District officials want to make sure their website design accurately reflects their district’s personality and values. eSchoolView’s willingness to involve Perkins leaders in the design process was an important part of their decision to purchase eSchoolView’s CMS. After the initial design phase, Perkins will also learn that eSchoolView is just as collaborative in the support department. Staff at Perkins will be trained and will learn how easy it is to upload news, photos, videos and conduct surveys using the CMS. The new site will also have the capability to serve as a two-way communications vehicle, with blogging and surveying capabilities, so the district and its partners can stay connected and informed of each other’s needs and initiatives.

Perkins leaders also liked eSchoolView’s CMS because it is cost-effective.  eSchoolView’s basic CMS package has everything a district needs to create a professional website. Instead of paying extra for features, districts will find the innovative CMS components can save the district time and money. For example, districts can use eSchoolView’s CMS to alert community members of events and school closings, and it can be used to survey the public.

Visitors to the new site will enjoy easy navigation, tailored with customized drop down menus, calendars and consistent design elements, to help them find the information they need quickly. Each school will have its own page, where administrators and faculty can communicate directly with their families and community partners. Individual staff members can also create their own Web pages with consistent design and navigation to help parents and students stay informed about homework assignments, class or club activities, and other relevant information.

“Perkins School District leaders have already seen the value of our CMS. Once they actually see their site online, they are going to realize that we have exceeded their expectations,” said Rob O’Leary, Director of eSchoolView.
