February 2012 - Bardstown City
eSchoolView designers have begun creating a new website, which will be powered by eSchoolView’s CMS, for Bardstown City Schools in Kentucky. Bardstown’s current website already shows its commitment to community and parent engagement, and its interest in keeping the community informed about events and issues. The new site will make the management of this task much easier, as eSchoolView’s CMS is simple to use and is Web-based, which means many people can contribute to the website from any computer with Internet access.
In addition to a great district site, each school will have the ability to create and maintain its own Web pages, and teachers will be able to keep parents and students informed on their own classroom pages. Teachers can use those pages to post links to learning tools, provide downloads of assignments and other material for students or parents, maintain a blog, post video and create photo galleries. Also, because eSchoolView’s CMS can be accessed through the Internet, teachers can keep their pages up-to-date from home.
Bardstown will also be able to use the website to collect important information from parents and community members through a survey feature and through online document submissions. Staff will no longer have to spend hours sorting forms at the beginning of the school year, because the CMS can store individualized forms in the parent portal and offer parents the option of downloading them or filling them out electronically.
“Bardstown leaders are going to love how much time our CMS can save them, since they can now involve many more people in the task of keeping their Web presence current and relevant,” says Rob O’Leary, Director at eSchoolView.
