 Columbiana County Career and Technical Center proudly announces the launch of its new website. The site contains many new features to help keep stakeholders informed and to foster two-way communication between the school and the community.
Clear and consistent communication is a challenge for any school district, and eSchoolView’s CMS has features to help organize information. “The four different divisions of the website at CCCTC are district level, high school, adult education, and Intranet. The Site Section Management component allows for a clear view of what section is being worked on and makes it easy to separate event calendars, contacts and other information. Visitors will find navigation easier because of this feature,” said Phil James, Director of Technology at CCCTC.
Communications efforts are also very expensive, and CCCTC is excited about the features in eSchoolView’s software that foster efficiency. For example, a Touts Manager component (a tout is any kind of graphic) allows CCCTC to keep their appearance consistent throughout the entire district site, so personnel is not spending unnecessary time re-creating graphics or rewriting information already covered on other pages. “The Touts Manager allows me to quickly sort pages and create graphic buttons without too much effort,” said James.
James is most excited about the fact that the new site will be an attractive and user-friendly communications tool for the district. “The overall goal of this site is to keep the community informed about the programs the school has to offer. It is imperative we have a current, attractive and informative website. With this product, we feel we are accomplishing that goal,” said James.
The district knows this investment in communication will be a positive force in forging and maintaining relationships between the district and the community it serves. The website can be found at www.CCCTC.k12.oh.us.
