 Knott County School District is putting the final touches on its website’s complete overhaul, which will launch within the next month. The new website operates with a content management system (CMS), powered by eSchoolView, and offers much more intuitive navigation and a number of new features. The new site underscores Knott County School District’s dedication to clear, timely and relevant communication with its community members, parents and students.
From the home page, visitors will be able to choose whether they want district level information or building level. The site will also help different stakeholders access the individualized information they are looking for quickly. The district knows this investment in communication will be a positive force in forging and maintaining relationships between the district and the community it serves.
The site will also benefit from eSchoolView’s deep understanding of the communication needs of school districts. The new site will offer a calendar feature to allow visitors to keep current on school activities at the building or district level. Parents will also be able to download and print frequently needed information such as lunch menus, school policy or school forms.
Individual building websites will have consistent design and tailored information for their specific audience. The site will have the capacity to showcase photos in both photo galleries and Flash components to help keep the community informed of the many activities and events in which their children participate. Visitors will also easily access contact information for anyone in the district with a staff directory feature, a component that allows the district to offer tailored searches by name, title or building.
