“Columbus Business First” named the website design and development company the winner of its prestigious annual Corporate Caring award for making significant contributions to others. eSchoolView creates websites for K-12 schools and education associations across the country; it also develops education management software.

 

“This award is truly humbling,” Owner Grant Wright said. “We value our clients and want to support their efforts in building our future leaders.”

 

The annual Corporate Caring awards are bestowed to companies in three categories based on size. eSchoolView was recognized for its efforts among companies with 100 or fewer employees; winners were also named for businesses with 101-499 and 500 or more employees. eSchoolView has 13 full-time and 8 part-time team members. It has contributed more than $35,000 in financial and in-kind contributions this past school year.

 

The company’s annual “Investing in Our Future” program awards $15,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors interested in web design and development. Students from across the country compete for the money by creating sites and budgets for mock clients.

 

The eSchoolView team also collaborated with Reynoldsburg City Schools this past year where a staff member volunteered to teach a coding elective at Hannah Aston Middle School, a building with a S.T.E.M. focus. The in-kind contribution is valued at more than $15,000.

 

“We want to reach students early and help them discover a direction in technology so they are able to see all of the possibilities our field offers,” Wright said.

 

eSchoolView also volunteers its time by creating and hosting election-related websites for community groups advocating on behalf of school districts with measures on the ballot. Wright said levies and bond issues are crucial to continuing quality education for the future.

 

“A website is a great way to communicate with people about the need for additional dollars,” he said. “Donating time toward building one can be a huge benefit in districts where raising money for campaign costs and identifying volunteers are critical needs.”

 

The eSchoolView team also mentors students one-on-one at both the high school and college levels, with a formal internship program developed for the latter. eSchoolView has also awarded scholarships to teachers in the past for classroom projects. In addition, team members participate in Adopt-A-Family programs each holiday season as well as contributions to various non-profit organizations.

 

“Research shows time and time again that student performance is positively impacted in an informed community,” Wright said. “We create and maintain products to strengthen the health of a community and the relationships a school or district has with its parents and residents.”
